Some individuals have claimed that using egg whites as a hair mask may even reverse hair loss.

It helps to cleanse the scalp of excess oil, while also protecting against dandruff.

There’s currently no scientific evidence to suggest that egg whites provide any relief from hair loss, but people have reported seeing significant benefits after using the hair mask.

“Egg whites are complete proteins containing all the essential amino acids,” said medical website Healthline.

“You need protein in your diet to build, maintain, and replace the tissues in your body — including your hair.

“While proper intake of protein has been shown to promote healthy hair, some people also use egg white as a hair mask on their scalp and locks to repair damage and reverse hair loss.

“Some claim that using an egg white hair mask cleanses the scalp of excess oils, strengthens hair, promotes growth, and fights dandruff.”

If you decide to use an egg white face mask for your hair, simply crack two egg whites into a bowl, and add two tablespoons of coconut oil.

Then, shampoo your hair using cool water. Warm or hot water could end up cooking the eggs on your head.
