In the case of cough and fever: they now behave correctly

For weeks, we read and hear continuously the news about the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, triggers of the lung disease COVID-19. But what exactly is supposed to be doing, if in a self, suddenly, symptoms such as cough or fever occur?

What steps must I take, how I take good care of myself and how I protect my environment as best as possible before the infection? The American health authority “Centers for Disease Control and Prevention” (CDC) and the Federal centre for health education (BZgA) to provide answers.

Important Note

The most important thing in advance: If, in addition to cough and fever one of the following symptoms occurs, get immediately medical assistance under the telephone number 112:

  • Shortness of breath,
  • persistent pain or pressure in the chest,
  • new onset of confusion or inability to get up,
  • bluish lips or complexion

Other than the above-mentioned symptoms get, please help, if you think of the complaints as threatening or very serious.

Important: Share the phone with that you may be at COVID-19 ill, and set you, if possible a protective mask on, as soon as help arrives.

1. How do I know if I am suffering from CODIV-19?

The only way to reliably find out whether you have a flu-like infection or COVID-19, is the implementation of a test. However, the capacity for these Tests are limited.

2. You stay home

4. Monitor Your Symptoms

You should observe self well to changes in their health care. If you are standing with your family doctor, your family doctor or the health Department in contact, follow the instructions.

5. Call in doctor’s offices, always

Visits to the doctor are permitted to perform only if they are unavoidable. 8. You wash often your hands
