Fall-themed nails always involve bringing out your favorite beige, gray, red, yellow, dark brown, and orange nail colors, but Jennifer Lopez seems to have thrown out every rule written in the unofficial fall nail art handbook by deciding to paint her nails with a shade of royal blue.
The nail artist behind Lopez's newly decorated digits, Tom Bachik, shared several close-up shots of the manicure, including one stunning mirror shot of Lopez that he shared on Monday, November 1. She seemed to have opted for this vibrant shade of blue to add some contrast to her dark navy blue blazer.
For this nail look, Bachick tells Allure that he used Cobalt Blue from Mithmillo on Lopez. However, there are also other polishes out there with a similar hue. OPI's Ring in the Blue Year from its Celebration Nail Lacquer Collection, Orly's Nail Lacquer in the shade It's Brittney Beach, and Essie's Mesmerized appear to be close matches to Lopez's nail color.

Whether you're into icy blue or darker variations of the color, blues of all shades always make for the perfect winter nail color, so perhaps this royal blue nail color is also Lopez's way of expressing her excitement for the upcoming winter season. As of this post, there are only 48 more days until the official start of winter, but, as Lopez demonstrates, it never hurts to get ahead on the upcoming season's nail art trends and colors.
